Migrating from uTorrent to Transmission

Hi guys,
I'm a new member, greetings to all!
I'd like to switch on Transmission but I have an issue:
I have an account on a private tracker, so many of my seeding in my uTorrent assure me a good ratio that i can't lose.
Then... there's something to permit me a full migration from uTorrent to Trasmission as i can restore all my sharing torrent and the most I'm downloading?

There is no migration utility for uTorrent -> Transmission but it's possible.

What OS are you on? I suspect Mac but uTorrent has released a Linux version recently...

Assuming Mac:
1. Open the .torrent files (~/Library/Application Support/uTorrent) with Transmission
2. Transmission will ask you to select the place to download the files in the add window. Point it to the same location on the machine that uTorrent saved the files at.
3. Verify the data in Transmission. There's a button in the Add window but you can also do it from the main interface: Select the torrent > Transfers > Verify Local Data.

Not really. It's possible by manually editing the .resume files but that's complicated and not recommended.

Although, it may make you happier to know that trackers keep their own ratio information. So even if your new application doesn't know about the old one's ratio, your tracker still does.

This is true no matter which application you're switching from and to.
