I was wondering if someone could help me to create an up to date
"email notification script" as I have a had look around the forums for hours and the most recent one is over 5 years old! I have also tried every single way on Google I could find and it simply will not work. my scripting skills are very limited as I have only used Linux for over a week now and I am just starting to get to grips with it, so it would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me
MY ISSUES ARE AS BELOW:
1. Where do I place my script? can it be anywhere or does it have to be in a specific place?
2. What aspects of the script do I need to change?
3. is there anyone who is willing to make a simple user friendly tutorial?
4. what permissions do i need the file to have?
5. what is a cron? or .cron file?
6. does the file need to be a .sh shell script?
