I'm reading since days about publishing a torrent file (even in this forum, knowing the topic isn't new). But somehow (I guess) I'm makeing just a little mistake, it won't work. (The goal is: to find my torrent with a torrent search engine e.g. torrentz.com)
What I've done so far:
For completeness: I'm using transgui (PC1) for transmission-daemon running on PC2.
1. I created a torrent with transmission-create on PC2 adding some trackers.
Here the header:

What the h*** is the p-flag used for?
man:
-p --private Flag the torrent as intended for use on private trackers.
What does that mean? I want to publish, not to make the torrent private...
2. I copied the source file (Enigma.exe) in my transmission folder on PC1.
3. I copied the .torrent file in transgui on PC2. Transmission-daemon recognized the file in my folder and started seeding.
4. I registered to some torrent search sites like [not shown in preview: site with a ship] tracker.example.com.to (guess had been at least 3 sites) and loaded the .torrent up.
Maybe I've chosen the wrong sites?
5. I copied the .torrent in a temporary installed transmission on PC1. Download worked fine.
My problem seems "just" to be: to publish my torrent the right way so that I can find it with a torrent-search.
Hoping for help.
Greets Joe.
(PS: transgui/daemon or normal transmission, shouldn't make a difference for this topic!)
