Building Transmission to edit source code

i want to edit source code of transmission to remove extra features which i don't nedd but could'nt buid it . Using linux
Hi, "Transmission" is great.
What Gnu-Linux do you mostly used for the development of "Transmission"?
Ubuntu, Debian stable or...
(I have easily compiled "Transmission" on Ubuntu 16.10. )
