Hi!

With ios 13 i can not open the downloaded torrent with monitor. I have the copy to Monitor link but it only opens the app but seems so the file is not passed to the app. Any idea? Maybe an update for it?

Seriously? That would be a quite heavy reason for me not to update.

Any idea? Maybe an update for it?

As the software has been removed from the App Store and the developer vanished entirely chances are quite small.

I finally have installed iOS 13.5 and iPadOS 13.5 and can’t confirm this. The app works as before. Perhaps the problem appeared in earlier versions only? But then … one should never update immediately after launch.

same here - copy to Monitor no longer fetches the file... please help as i love this app

As I did nothing special when upgrading from iOS 12 to iOS 13.5 at that time I could not explain why it does not universally work everywhere. I’m using a non-default port as well as HTTPS on my Transmission server which could be a reason why it works here but not with some other devices running iOS 13. It still is running flawlessly under iOS 13.7 with the exception that the app was never adapted to the screens of newer Apple devices and some parts of the GUI are showing up in white while running in dark mode.

Would anyone be so kind and share their Monitor/Transmission Companion.ipa. I recently upgraded to a new iphone, and now i just can't install it (since it is not on the app store). I still have it on my old phone, but not finding a way to actually get it over to my new phone. If anyone could share i would be very happy. They way i understand it, I should be able to add it via xcode if i have got the .ipa?

Pity Monitor is not working anymore

+1, Monitor.app was a life saver, it’s really hard to manage Transmission without it.

Could you please share an Xcode project for us to self-install it?
Along with the fix to iOS 14.5 new requirements.

Agree with everything above. Monitor was/is superb and would love to somehow get it working again in iOS 14.5 Will subscribe to thread in hope!

What I don't get is why download manager type apps for Synology and QNAP NAS are allowed on the app store, which essentially do the same thing!

I would happily pay 99p (more even) again if someone was able to fork project and get this back on the app store with perhaps a bit better wording as to what it actually does! (i.e. no different to QNAP/Synology's download mamager apps!)

Just a question, is Monitor the same as the Companion app? I have yet to upgrade iOS and wonder if that will be affected too..

I am not sure, but 14.5 broke the Companion app for me

Have you tried reinstalling with the .ipa file?

I am getting this weird message when trying to use this. When reaching "Show Alert 'Contents of URL'" in the shortcut an error message pops up with "Add torrent result "invalid or corrupt torrent file, arguments". Have tried with magnet and regular torrent file URL. Anyone else experience this?
