How To Go Unseen?

HI,
Each time I switch on Transmission (upload or download) on my computer, the later is slowed down: live video streams are either blurred or stopped, pages are slow to load... I think my ISP knows it and throttles the bandwidth.
Is there an option within Transmission which would let me carry on its activities unseen from the ISP?
