Transmission

Currently using Transmission on Mac, with ~5000 torrents. Since it doesn't feature proper categorisation, I need a new instance to use just with Sonarr and Radarr so the latter don't scan through heaps of unrelated torrents and cause huge lag.



How can I run another Transmission instance in parallel?

Considering that I operate the whole thing mostly headlessly anyway using the web interface, can I use transmission-daemon? Can I/should I transfer my current Transmission GUI instance to the daemon version for performance increases?

According to the rpc-spec, Transmission 3.00 supports labels. This should work for your categorization needs. Or might work in the future if it is not yet implemented in the client of your choice.
