Every thing related to BeOS, Zeta, Haiku

Post by ModeenF »

I have now begun to update the BeOS GUI.

Download limit torrent -Done
List files - Done
right click on torrent to get menu. - On Hold due to BMessag problem when using BPopupMenu
Up/Down limit on files - Working on this
Up/Down limit / torrent - Not Done
Priority of torrents - Not Done

Are there any other "new" stuff on Torrent that we need too update the gui with?

Oh and how do I get write access to SVN?

ModeenF: I think the reason I got write access to svn was because I the others got tired of reviewing my patches. :)

Patches should be sent to transmission-dev at m0k dot org.

BTW, I've been meaning to ask you... does libevent work under BeOS?

K :)

don't know about libevent when are this used?
It sounds like BDirectory with the B_WATCH_DIRECTORY flag set

A other question about limits in transmission should a user be able to set limit on a singel torrent or are that more for a singel file in the same torrent?

and how about Priorities when should that on be used? on torrent or only at a file in a torrent? After reading this are for the files in a torrent.

Due to the new libevent dependency and autotools switch, Transmission is fairly broken on BeOS. Assuming the autoconf build system works ok, libevent will still need to be ported. I don't believe this is possible for net_server, but should be fairly easy for BONE or similar. I'll probably do this eventually but would rather that someone else does, my BeOS box is pain to work on.

right now it won't build on my mashine (can't find autoconf) so I have "moved" my development to the 0.80 branch.

What is the status with Transmission now on BeOS and Haiku?

Support for BeOS has been discontinued, and I don't think we ever officially supported Haiku.

The last version available for BeOS, 0.71, is still available for download:
