Resume Selected v Resume Selected Right Away v Resume All

Post by scappata »

Would someone please explain the differences between these options? The first two are available when selecting a/some transfer(s) and right-clicking. The last is available after selecting then going to the Transfers menu (or a toolbar button if modified).

I'm not sure I have seen any difference. Because of usage peculiarities I need to pause all and then resume all. I have added the pause/resume all items to my toolbar but wonder if using the Resume All button (easiest) is as good as selecting all the transfers and selecting Resume Right Away (SO much more difficult  ).

"Resume Selected Right Away" puts the selected torrents in download mode, skipping the queue, even if the number of torrents is larger than the queue-size ("download-queue-size" in session-get since 2.40). The other ones put the torrents in download-waiting mode, putting them in the queue. If the number of selected torrents to resume is lower than the queue-size then there is no practical difference.
