Webgui doesn't work as it is supposed to

Post by server2012 »

I have an installation of windows server 2012. I am trying to install transmission onto it, so far i have tried transmission-qt and transmissiond. both work perfectly as long as I log in. My goal is to get the deamon running without me having to log in. (I am already doing this with µTorrent but I like transmission more). When I add a task in task scheduler to start transmission at startup (option run wether user is logged on or not is checked) and try to load the webgui through another pc, I can see the graphical interface but the page seems to keep on loading and I can't do anything (it is unresponsive).

Any help on fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'm trying to get this to work too. Did you solve it in the end?

kofsw4,

you could use http://cygwin.wikia.com/wiki/Cygrunsrv

since this is an unofficial port of transmission could you please open a topic at
http://sourceforge.net/projects/transmissiondaemon/

and I will try to of further assistance there if you need it.

Ok, I posted a help topic at http://sourceforge.net/p/transmissionda ... 5f5c/#3280
which has instructions (not to difficult, I hope? ) and the cygrunsrv.exe needed to run the daemon as a service. This should solve your problem.
