Maximum number of concurrent downloads on a headless system

Hello,

can you please point me to the right parameter to change/set in settings.json in order to set the maximum number of concurrent downloads? I see on https://trac.transmissionbt.com/wiki/Co ... Parameters a parameter called open-file-limit but I'm not sure this is the correct one to change.

I'm running a headless Transmission 2.04 on Linux.

You can limit the number of connections per torrent and the global connection limit but transmission does not have a queue so you cant limit how many torrents are allowed at once. Transmission just
Splits the available connections among all active torrents.

There is a feature request for a queue and I think it is in the official roadmap.

Actually, after reading your reply, went back and found this https://trac.transmissionbt.com/ticket/671. It looks like there is a patch submitted only 3 days ago, but with no description how can we test it?

You wont believe it, but just today, I tried to find the option that would allow to limit number of concurrent downloads. Since the config doesn't have this option, I searched forums and found your topic.

Is there a way to "Like" the "issue" you've found and somehow let developers know its a good option to have?

I'm sure the developers already know it's a good option to have so let's hope we'll see it becoming implemented soon.
