[SOLVED] error: libevent 1.4.9 or higher not found!

i install the transmission-2.12 undering Debian 5,a trouble came when i type ./configure

my steps:

1.wget http://monkey.org/~provos/libevent-1.4.9-stable.tar.gz
tar xzvf libevent-1.4.9-stable.tar.gz
cd libevent-1.4.9-stable.tar
./configure
make
make install
2.wget http://download.transmissionbt.com/file ... 12.tar.bz2
tar xvf transmission-2.12.tar.bz2
cd transmission-2.12
./configure
configure: error: libevent 1.4.9 or higher not found!
it happened,what can i do? help!!!

the libevent 1.4.9 require following deb:

•libevent-core-1.4-2_1.4.13
•libevent-1.4-2_1.4.13
•libevent-dev_1.4.13
•libevent-extra--1.4-2_1.4.13

so,we install
http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/ma ... 1_i386.deb
http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/ma ... 1_i386.deb
http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/ma ... 1_i386.deb
http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/ma ... 1_i386.deb

that's is all,we can install libevent completely!
