Post by roderick »

I have it set to automatically update weekly however it says there's 0 ip address rules in list and
last updated May 20. Is this normal?

You don't have a blocklist URL, thus no bloklist.

When did Transmission start requiring a URL? Didn't it used to have its own updated blocklist?

I've been using it for years and don't ever remember putting in a URL. It used to take care of itself.

https://trac.transmissionbt.com/wiki/Blocklists

I have only ever used the daemon version and I know it did not come with a list predefined and the wiki which is a little out dated also indicates that no specific blacklist is endorsed by transmission and thus indicates one would not be included.

"http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/nipfilter.dat.gz" works well and is the one I prefer. You can check out their website for other blacklists.
