magnetlinks not working on safari

magnetlinks not working on safari

Hi there guys, I'm running OS X Maverick and this past week the magnet links on safari no longer load up transmission. Instead a new tab window opens showing the "Top Sites", if i use google chrome the magnet links work without a charm. Someone please advise on how I can resolve this.
