Transmission crashes mac with HotSpot VPN

Post by welshmcspicy »

Hi,
Running 10.12.1 Sierra with Transmission 2.92. When I fire up Hotspot Shield app (v 1.4.0), my macbook pro consistently crashes and reboots.

Has anyone experienced this? Any recommendations? I'm dead in the water with this combo unfortunately.

x190,
Thanks for the suggestions. Did all that but unfortunately getting the same behavior. I tried it with new torrent files (i.e., didn't re-import the original set).

I started to wonder if maybe it was HotSpot that was taking my machine down. However, I got the following from the Apple crash report:

So it's not just Transmission. I installed another app and got the same kernel panic in the same file.
