How do I back up Transmission data on Linux?

Post by DanielDC88 »

I am running transmission on a raspberry pi model 3 running OSMC. I would like to install Pi-hole but for some reason it won't install, so I've decided to rebuild the operating system. Before I do this, I would like to back up my settings for transmission so that when I got to install it again, it will find my external drive, and continue working like nothing happened. I would also like to preserve all the statistics I have for the torrents on there.

Please can you inform me which files I need to preserve and where they will be stored? I assume I can rebuild, set up the drive mount, install transmission, close it, copy the old files and replace any conflicts, and start transmission.

Thank you in advance for any help!
