Hi,
I have a Synology NAS with Transmission running onto it.
I've been using this for a long time, I had a watch folder set up picking up new torrent files automatically.
But, since upgrading to Transmission 2.93-13, when I now drop files in my watch folder, nothing happens.
Anyone else has this issue, or knows how to solve this?
When I look at usr/local/transmission/var/settings.json I have:
"watch-dir": "/volume1/homes/fred/torrents",
"watch-dir-enabled": true
I haven't changed anything to my settings at all.
Thanks in advance,
Fred

Ah, ok, just checked my logs:
watchdir Failed to open directory "/volume1/homes/fred/torrents" (13): Permission denied (watchdir.c:354)
How do I set up correct permissions?

And found solution myself.
I added user "sc-transmission" to that watchdir folder and gave it full access.
I can see that a "sc-download" user existed for that folder too, so I guess transmission developers changed sc-download to sc-transmission in latest version?

@nononolimits
I'm having what I believe is the same issue. At first it was manifesting itself as my WebUI not allowing me access. I had previously had rpc-authorization-enabled set to false, and only changing that to true (and needing a username and password) allowed me to see the torrents that were in there. But it won't add any torrents I add to the watched dir. All the transmission folders (and files in @appstore/transmission) have the ownership sc-transmission:transmission already. chowning the new torrents added to the watch folder don't get them added either. You figure anything further in the last month?
