Reverse proxy and base URL

Post by ZodiacUHD »

Hello everyone, i love using transmission on my Freenas machine. I'm trying to set it up behind a reverse proxy running nginx. My problem is that i cannot set transmission with a clean IP like 192.168.1.x. It has "/transmission/" after it which breaks links generated from NGINX. Is there anyway i can work around it? I am no NGINX expert so there may be a way with it but i feel like it would be easier to work directly on transmission.

To recap:

I have transmission running on 192.168.1.104:9091/transmission

I would like to have 192.168.1.104:9091 in order to get transmission.mydomain.com

I can work around it having mydomain.com/transmission but i'd rather not.

Thank you very much in advance.

Cheers
