So I recently updated Transmission to 1.07 on my Western Digital NAS PR4100. Since then I can't reach Transmission anymore. I'm a novice so I don't really know how to fix the problem. I get this message,
"421: Misdirected RequestTransmission received your request, but the hostname was unrecognized. To fix this, choose one of the following options:Enable password authentication, then any hostname is allowed.Add the hostname you want to use to the whitelist in settings. If you're editing settings.json, see the 'rpc-host-whitelist' and 'rpc-host-whitelist-enabled' entries. This requirement has been added to help prevent DNS Rebinding attacks."
I have no idea where to enable password authentication for example.
Would love any help! Thank you!

Re: 421: Misdirected Request WD PR4100
Hi,
I have exactly the same problem on my WD MyCloud DL2100.
Do you know where we can find the old binary of the previous version please ? (1.05, it was the 2.77 I suppose).
Regards.

I had the same issue. Instead of using your host name within the URL, use your IP address. This can be found within the settings area of the WD UI.
E.g.
[ipaddress]:[port]/transmission/web
000.000.0.000:1111//transmission/web
Just enter your IP and you shouldn’t have to update the port number within your url. Hope that helps!
