Getting permission denied when using alternate download folder

Post by manc »

Hi All,

So I am a little new to Linux and testing the water with a Raspberry Pi 3, so I have the latest ver of Raspian installed along with Transmission.

I have mounted a network share on a windows server using this line in the fstab file ( \\\\192.168.0.40\\d /mnt/win cifs username=administrator, password=<snip> 0 0 )

The download folder is configured in the transmission config folder as ( "download-dir": "/mnt/win/tdownloads", )

I can copy a file into this shared folder no issues from the Pi, logged in as Pi.

But whenever I download a torrent I get the permission denied error from the webui :(

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I am doing wrong?
