transmission does not honor "nodes" field ?

I have a torrent file with a "nodes" field which contains a list of peers (IP, port) that I know are seeding this torrent.

When I open it in transmission (2.94), it does not establish any connection with peers.

I tried with private and public torrents, same behavior.

I don't know if I missed something.

AFAIK The nodes field contains data that is supposed to support trackerless torrents and that this is yet another unspecified extension of the Bittorrent protocol. Have this topic moved to requests to continue this discussion.

You re right it seems to be part of the BEP 005.

Torrent File Extensions

A trackerless torrent dictionary does not have an "announce" key. Instead, a trackerless torrent has a "nodes" key

Does your answer means that it is not part of transmission yet and should be handled as a feature request ?
