Transmission remote GUI remote to local path mappings on Ubuntu 18.04

Post by benny_ray »

Dear All,

I am having issues with my Transmission remote GUI on Ubuntu 18.04. I'd like to open the folders directly from the Transmission GUI but nothing happens. It has to be something with the folder mapping, but I don't know what. On Windows I was able to make it work somehow.

I have a Raspberry Pi acting as a NAS and running Transmission on it.

This is my file system from the Pi. /dev/sdb1/media contains folders 'S' for series and 'F' for movies.

When I try to open the folders it does not send any errors, just simply not opening anything.

Here is the remote path mapping I have set up. Two syntax for testing purposes, none of them work of course:

/media/S=\\dev\sdb1\nas\S
/media/F=\\sdb1\nas\F

If anyone can help how to set it up correctly it would be much appreciated.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Regards,
Benny
