Move a half downloaded file from Android to Windows/Linux

Post by anishjp »

Hi Guys

I run transmission-daemon on my Android phone. While I was downloading a huge file, it stopped downloading at 89% percentage due to the lack of seeders. This file has taken most of the space in my phone so I can't download any other files. I have installed Transmission in windows and also linux. I would like to move this half downloaded file to a windows/linux computer and resume downloading from windows/linux when the peers become available again.

Which files in Android must I move to Windows/linux machine so I can resume from the 89%?

Regards,
Anish

You need the content and the torrent. Skipping the validation of the torrent requires you to also copy the resume file ... BUT the paths on your phone and on the target machine are very likely to differ so I'd advise against that.
