Torrent File Contains Invalid Data when auto adding from directory

Post by rebeltaz »

I recently had to update from Ubuntu 18.04 LTS to 22.04 and when I did, it automatically updated transission to 3.00 (bb6b5a062e). Ever since, whenever a download a torrent file to a watched directory, transmission finds it and tries to add it, but it gives me this error: "Torrent File Contains Invalid Data" and the 'Files' section will be empty. Whether I click OK or Cancel, it doesn't matter, nothing gets added. But if I manually add that exact same file, even with the .added extension transmission appended, it loads just fine; no errors; the 'Files' section is complete; and it adds and starts downloading just fine. Does anyone have any information on this?
