My Mac + 1.42 = No DL/UL

All,

I'm currently running an intel mac with OS X 10.5.6 and just installed 1.42. TBT is seeing zero peers and isn't doing anything. I can add more torrents, but now they just stay "red."

I'm not computer savvy, so trying to read through the other threads is like trying to do calculus.

Is there some un-Transmission related issue right now? Am I being blocked by my ISP (I'm overseas and can't just call them)? How do I know if the problem is with my setup or external?

I apologize for the idiotic posting. I'm really lost here...

I have exactly the same problem, it appears:
on Linux, I was using 1.21 with success (couldn't use the 1.3x versions, because had the problem of downloading excess data that was lost), but upgrading to 1.41 or 42, only brings a transmission that sits there doing nothing, it's like there was no access to internet for it... no number of peers, no connections, nothing... and no errors reported, either...

Same here. I went back to 1.40 and all is well. Oh, and I turned off "Check for update" :/

If you're feeling adventurous, try a nightly build of r7536 or higher.

could someone please post an exact link to version 1.40?

I tried a nightly vuild version of 1.40 but it is pretty much doing the same thing. Barely finds/downloads from 1 peer, continuously stops the torrents or says they are possibly deleted, some errors say "broken pipe" (I am not sure what that one means). I have tried different torrents or the same from different websites and I am still having this problem - one which I have never had while using this program. One torrent that specifically isn't working is an axxo torrent, and they generally download for me in about 2 to 3 hours, and yet this one continuously gets errors as well.

Use common sense to find the link. Either look at the download page or the 1.42 download link. Use some creativity or detective skills.

Well i went back to 1.40 for a bit and it did not really change. Still no upload anymore. Everything is set the way its suppose and port is forwarded properly. Im lost, maybe its my isp finally blocking it.

Perhaps no one wants to download from you. Perhaps there are a lot of seeders and not as many peers who want to download.

im having a problem downloading too. according to transmission, im downloading already but it doesn't seem to actually download.

I am running 10.5.6 and updated to the most resent nightly file. Still same problem. Like I said it went back to 1.40 to see if that helped, no luck. Thats why i think maybe its my isp?

I've got torrents from the same tracker. I have no issue uploading a fully downloaded file. I cannot download unfinished files nor download new torrents added to Transmission since the update. I am using OS 10.5.5 and Transmission 1.42 (7494)

None. On the website that I got the torrents there are over 1000 for one of my torrents.

If I need to change the peer port to open, how is this done please?

I have the message log, should I send it somewhere or just paste it into this posting?

EDIT : no probs using Tomato last night, but I want my Transmission back !!

Looks wrong. my port is forwarded properly but shows no address in log.
