lauch a script after download is finished, seeding, paused e

Post by uqasz »

hi

it would be really nice to have this functionality. i know that i can use transmission remote but wouldn't it be eassier to use this function ?
personally i think that some features may be implemented into transmission core if they are verry popular and needed.

i would love to see this feture in daemon especially

There is already an option to run a script when finished, it was added in 2.x something... check the docs.

There is only an option to run a script on download complete and it is only in the daemon version.

You can use it in any version, not just the daemon.

I do not see any way to run a script inside Transmission 2.04 for Mac OS X version.
please be more specific if you know.

I don't have a mac but the ability is there inside libtransmission even if the gui doesn't explicitly have any setting for it. You'll probably have to futz around with a plist or something.

Someone mentioned that it was possible to set up scripts to run on 'torrent added', 'torrent deleted', etc using transmission-remote.
Is this true? How can this be accomplished?

Thank you.

Lots of manual works since those events aren't "used" by Transmission and thus you have to parse the full torrent-list yourself so see when one is added deleted or changed in any other such way.

So, one would have to schedule a list to run from time to time and parse the list?
To inefficient indeed. This event scripts should be added to transmission..
