Hi all,
I've been using Transmission quite a while now and I really like it. It only has one downside for me a this point.
When I download a torrent in a particular folder, transmission automatically creates a subfolder in that one I specified with the name of the torrent.
So basically /volume1/<place I specify>/<torrent name>/<files ....>
I want to disable the fact that he makes a directory with the torrent name .. is that possible ?
Regards
DW
Stop directory creating of torrent name
Re: Stop directory creating of torrent name
No, that's not possible. That foldername is being specified by your .torrent file.

Re: Stop directory creating of torrent name
Wrong.
uTorrent does follow that same convention but it gives you the OPTION to rename that folder, which can then be construed as being able to remove it by using the place you specified as the original download location as the torrent-folder.

I can only support this - the option to rename (or rather re-direct) at least the main folder is absolutely essential, otherwise any collection of many (potential future) seed folders becomes a complete mess...

I just ran across this.. I don't think it was ever implemented. Any way to make that happen?
