No using Package Center "Other Sources" address of http://synopkg.superzebulon.org/spkrepo/packages (mentioned in a few forums) only makes available CouchPotato, Headphones and SickBeard.

Anyone else have any idea where to get a compatible transmission server. I really can't decommission my old tired WD White Light until this issue is resolved. :?

The transmission dev team does not build packages for specific flavors of Linux based systems.

So your options is to either build it manually or take it up with the maintainers of that specific flavor.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I persevered and installed optware and with a bit of fiddling around with the initialisation file got 2.61 going fine.
Fitted patch https://trac.transmissionbt.com/ticket/4987 and it's perfect.

Thought I'd just let those know who don't have the knowledge or experience to build it.

cheers

Or should I downgrade to 4.0?

Hey, I just got back to this after running optware [as indicated] for the last few months.
I've just installed the DSM package (2.76) ... Worked like a charm! :D
Many thanks for that package source.
