Latest Transmission for Synology

Hi,

I truly love Transmission and am using it on my Synology NAS. However the version in circulation is quite old (2.50). Is there a way to get the latest 2.80 version?
Or maybe is there a way to compile the source on the Synology myself? (Tutorial)

You either have to compile it yourself, or look through the Synology forums since the Transmission devs do not make the installation packages for Synology (nor any Linux based system at all), that is handled by the respective distribution maintainers (or their community).

I don't know of any Synology specific build tutorial but maybe Transmission's generic instructions are good enough.
