Request: Better & Easier Importing of Partially Download http/ftp Files

Postby turnkit » Mon Nov 07, 2016 11:16 am

So I'd think I'd not need this but every year I am once again trying to finish off a huge download that I started with http or ftp (with a non-resume ability) and I want to take a partially downloaded file and restart the torrent and somehow use the web or ftp version to start off the download.

But I can't find a Mac client that will do this easily.

The verification takes longer than I'd expect (20 minutes for a 150 GB out of a 300 GB total) and then invariably the entire file is no good.

Help!

Would it be possible to start with the torrent and then add the website as a webseed? That way the data would be properly verified.
