A status bar when moving data files

I am moving about 10 gigs in linux iso from my main drive to a remote drive and when doing so I noticed there is no status bar for this process.
So you have no clue what's going on or if the application froze.
So I think it would be nice to have a status bar for moving data files cause I d this often.

Yes, this would be really good, although I've never experienced a failed move...
