Torrents on an external drive (NTFS with Paragon)

Postby vebaev » Tue Aug 01, 2017 6:36 pm

I have external drive 1TB Seagate with NTFS and original drivers from Paragon provided by Seagate.

When I start a torrent on the drive Transmission hands/freezes and I'm unable to Force quit it or restart the Mac, everything hangs unless I force unplug the HDD. I found similar forum posts from almost 10 years and was wondering why Transmission did not fix this old ages issue about the external HDDs?!

I'd be more inclined to blame Paragon NTFS in this case.

Are you sharing the drive with a peewee user? If not, reformat it HFS+!

I'm in the same boat, same HD, same NTFS driver, same issue, and would love a solution that would allow me to keep an NTFS drive, since I share it with a windows machine.
