forward slashes being converted to colons when creating torrent files

Post by shape »

Using Transmission 2.84 on 10.8.5, when creating torrent files upon dropping folders into the Transmission window, it's converting forward slashes "/" into colons ":". For example, a folder titled "Name1 / Name2" opens in the torrent file as "Name1 : Name2".

I tried testing this on 2 recent Nightlies, including the latest 14569, to see if this was a possible bug that had already been addressed and neither of them will open. Both of them crash while launching.

Are there text encoding preferences that I'm missing?

Ok, thanks. Yeah, it's not causing any issues within the app or in OSX. It's just that the particular server doesn't allow certain special characters in the file name, a colon being one of them. So i'll just have to use another special character in its place.

I'll submit a bug report for the crashes.
