"Add window" always showing

Whenever I add a new torrent, whether it be via a torrent file or magnet link, the New Download window appears, where I must choose it's saved location and must manually starts. This happens even though I've got the options for these set off in the preferences. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but to no avail.

Using a Macbook on El Capitan 10,11,2 using transmission 2.84 (14306).

I followed your instructions, twice, and it still hasn't changed my problem. Each time I add a torrent, or a magnet it still gives me the pop up asking me where to save the file. Very annoying with automatic downloads of magnets set but now I have to manually add them.

I'm running version 2.84 of transmission

These are what happens when I add a torrent or magnet, and as you can see the setting is turned off but this still happens?

Is there anything else you need in terms of settings or whatever? I'm not sure what's wrong, is it that I'm using the new 2015 Macbook>?

I open them from my downloads. But, I've changed the d/l folder to be set to a folder now and magnets now work! I do apologise I didn't understand your previous post but your last post made it much clearer and magnet files no longer bring up the box each time!
