Let's say I downloaded some torrents in the past and renamed them and now after confirming that the versions match I want to seed them to a tracker but unless I change folder name to the one from the torrent from that tracker, local data verification fails and download starts anew in the specified directory (although individual file names in the said folder match the torrent ones). Is there a way to skip this process and have Transmission check only files within the folder, not the folder itself?
When adding files in bulk to seed, having to rename every individual folder from my collection to the name from the torrent file is really frustrating, so I'd like to know if there's a different way to do this.

You're not the only one...this has been a problem ever since 2010 from what I can tell on the forums...
