I upgraded to nightly build from 2.92, I do have tuxera ntfs installed, but have now disabled it, were there any other processes that caught your attention?

I now disabled all start up items and other processes and removed anything EtreCheck did not like, which was basically nothing (launch agents/deamons EtreCheck flagged earlier were already removed)

Seeding now, no other processes running, we'll see how it goes...fingers crossed...

You didn't see anything wrong with my settings?

Actually I do have an NTFS partition on my external DH , could that be problematic? I can get rid of it....
Uninstalled avira to be sure but these problems were from before that (it started when I migrated from an old install onto a new machine) anyway, also quit better touch tool, hands off etc, just running the basics now, I was trying to resurrect an old external drive that wouldn't mount via terminal yes, finally worked worked in gparted.. I also sometimes run VMware could that be the issue?

It hasn't crashed/hanged yet, but restarted it once when some torrents didn't start downloading, turns out I had to wait for seeders.
Been ok so far will update you on this...

This is all a big mystery to me:
I deleted al config files etc, even did a clean install of 2.84 (14306) one way or another the client becomes unresponsive, freshly added torrents will start downloading after i restart the client etc.. also the hang every other day or so....

Is there anything I can do to create a log, check certain folders for leftovers from old installs I might have missed?

BTW running the dreaded El Capitan 10.11.5 (15F34) ...

Thanks!

I found Transmission unresponsive again and took some data that may be of help in figuring whats causing this to happen.

With Activity Monitor I located the process located the PIP and in Terminal using command sudo fs_usage pid <PID> got this output, (if more date is needed i will let it run longer next time)..

Then I also collected the data presented in Activity Monitor under Open Files & Ports:

And made a screenshot of the Statistics tab:

And this is the Problem Report after force quitting Transmission that was made:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/dn76nramix90z ... g.txt?dl=0

Added another file where you see the client isn;t downloading or seeding anymore but not unresponsive as in restart doen't crash?

Hope this helps, I really do not want to move all my stuff to utorrent :(

After moving all my torrents to different clients Deluge (hate the interface) (and uTorrent, not a fan of ads) those weren't to stable in my OS 10.11.5 either..

So I quickly resumed working with Transmission and while it's been two days of smooth sailing. Seeding, downloading, opening and closing all was good until just now Transmission became unresponsive again, maybe it was because i turned my VPN on while using it?

Here is the problem report.

Please help!

I don't know, did I?
I was hoping for a confirmation of sorts, I was only guessing as in most of the occurrences I can see no correlation as I wasn't using VPN...

The report was too large for pastebin: "You have exceeded the maximum paste size of 512 kilobytes per paste."
