I have the feeling that transmission stopt during the period that my iMac (OSX 10.5.4) is asleep.
Is this correct and if so then is there a way to avoid this.
Transmission during "sleep"
Re: Transmission during "sleep"
If you're Mac is asleep it won't do anything, so your feeling would be correct. The only way to avoid this is to tick 'Prevent computer from sleeping with active transfers' in the 'Network' tab in the preferences. You simply can not download or upload anything while your Mac sleeps.

Can't find that.
In preferences/Energy there is a box checked with "disable sleep for networkcontrol thru Ethernet" (it's the first box in the options tab of energy).
In preferences/Network there is only a checkbox about FTP transfer. But maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.

I meant the Transmission preferences. When you open those there's a 'Network' tab

OK, dumb question ... maybe. How do I know if my Mac is asleep? I.e., I want to know if my Mac is staying awake and keeping the transfer going. I know I should know this, but ... THANKS.
