I'm downloading a very large file might take (several days), can I shut down my computer then pick up the next day?

Yes. If you're shutting down completely, it's best to exit Transmission before shutting down.

Do you mean to say that If I exit Transmission then shut down, when I startup again can I then continue downloading from where I left off?
