1.50.b5 Inspector reports wrong share ratio for 1 file?

Post by dlp »

The Inspector reports share ratio correctly for all files except one that I'm seeding: It says (correctly) that the file is 2.83 MB and I've uploaded 17.0 MB, but reports the Ratio as 2.95. (I have the global set to 6.)

Any ideas as to why?

On the activity tab of the inspector, does "Downloaded" matches "Have"? Perhaps you got some broken pieces, which ended up making you download more bytes than the torrent's actual size (5.76MB total, actually).

Have = 2.83 MB verified
Downloaded = 5.77 MB (remarkably accurate prediction you made -- how did you know it would be roughly 2X Have?)

17.0 MB uploaded / 5.77 downloaded = 2.94, so you're correct, and that explains the discrepancy.

Seems like a design oversight to me, though, i.e., T's share ratio denominator should be Have.

The guess was made based on your upload (17 MB) and your ratio (2.95) -> 17/DL=2.95 =)
Good to know you figured it out =)

Doh! Pretty obvious, now that you've explained. :roll:

Thanks!
