Leopard slow death back 1.50

Just like the title says. The slow death problem is back. It's happened to me 4 times in the last 2 days. I do think I know what is causing it (this time at least). All instances of it happening have occurred when the speed limit has been activated. Yesterday i had it set at 10 up 10 down. It "slow deathed" the computer shortly after that. Today it happened after I left Trans running for a while at a limit of 100 down. I think it is the act of changing the limit that is killing leopard.
