The developers do read the forum but I'm guessing that replying is not high priority. Transmission creates the files exactly as they're listed in the .torrent file. Just a guess: I think this feature would be non-standard and that is the reason the developers are reluctant to add it. You can already select the base folder that everything is added into.

well i think this is very useful too.

For example, i get movies that are in folders that XBMC cannot make sense of. So my choices are only:

a) make a copy (large waste of space for a movie)
-or-
b) stop seeding

usually i would choose b).

But if I could map an alias name, all would be good.

Anyway, someone suggested opening a trac ticket. So open one and let us know here when you do. We can all "vote" with comments there.

Has this feature been implemented yet? It's a must-have for PT seeding...
