Tranmission unexpectedly quits

I've had a persistent problem with Transmission v1.73 and 1.74 the past weeks that I've never seen before. Transmission suddenly just quits while downloading torrents, no error messages or anything on the screen. Sometimes the app runs for hours before quitting, sometimes only 10-30 minutes before it shuts down. I had hoped that me upgrading to Snow Leopard would remove the problem but it's still ongoing. Anybody had similar problems before or could point me to a log or anything that might help me troubleshoot this?
