Whatever happened to the ability to connect to a remote Transmission Daemon through the interface?
The Transmission QT interface has this...
...as does the Windows GUI...
What happened to the option on GTK+ and OSX? I love the interface, it looks wonderful, but I run Transmission on my NAS and just want to view my torrents, not start new local torrents.

The GTK and OSX interfaces don't have this ability. This would require a big rewrite and no one has stepped up to the monstrous task (you can volunteer for this). When the Qt client was built, it was designed around this concept from the beginning. The GTK and OSX clients were not. The devs don't have a hand in the Windows client (it's not official).
