canyouseeme vs transmission - port closed

Post by crescendo87 »

Hello
I have read previous posts and some users have highlighted this problem but there was no conclusion I guess.
I did all port forwarding things and "can you see me" says my port is open after i changed my router settings[ setup static Ip in my mac etc etc]
I am using snow leopard and firewall allows all incoming connections
Using Trans as application name in Router setting and port name same as what transmission has .....
and still transmission says port is closed.

Please help.Let me know if more info is needed.

Thanks

I don't have any suggestions, I just want to add that I am having the same issue: transmission sees the port as closed, canyouseeme sees it as open.

I've had port forwarding to one port in particular successfully set up for 6 months now and as of yesterday, I am having issues. I have noticed a huge decrease in the activity of the torrents I am seeding, so it seems that functionally I am not connectible and transmission is reading it correctly.

Have you tried another port to see if that works yet? I have not...
