Stop Seeding After XX Hours/Days

Post by Steve Grenier »

This can probably be counted as a universal request but I'm a mac user so as long it's on the mac version I'm happy!

I prefer seeding based off time rather than ratio. It would be amazing if Transmission could add an option to stop seeding after a certain amount of hours or days (depending how you go about it) Days probably makes more sense although hours can be more precise. I don't know how much work would be involved but since the elapsed seed time is already being counted inside the inspector I'd like to believe it would be relatively easy to do.

Keep up the great work guys 2.2x is really fantastic.

Well... it already seeds until it's inactive for a specified amount of time. It sounds like you want it to seed a TOTAL of time, rather than INACTIVE FOR time.

You're correct. My mistake, I should have clarified. The current solution is nice, but some (many) torrents just never end, or may go a few days with no activity. I generally like to seed things for 7 days before stopping. Regardless of activity.
