Hi,
I currently use the web UI to connect to my NAS transmission, the we-ui is really nice, but it's not optimal, as it has some browsing issues (no minimal view, navigation always snaps to selected torrent) and i was wondering if wouldn't it be nice to be able to use the mac or linux desktop client to connect to a remote client and display the content as it was local.

You need Transmission-Remote-GUI. Works a treat.
Re: Use desktop client as interface for remote client
Sorry, i disagree, it's nowhere as refined as the default webui or mac os x desktop client.
Re: Use desktop client as interface for remote client
What about Transmission-Qt?
Yeah, we know, it doesn't have all the bells-and-whistles than the Mac app does, but it has more than the Web client, and it is still simple, not a cluttered mess uTorrent look alike, and it has the remote session functionality.

Transmission-Qt is part of the source distribution... you're probably used to the .dmg packages, I don't think there is one, you have to build it (start with Qt, you probably have everything else on Mac OS X, but I'm not sure about libevent).

i'll certainly try to build it, thanks for pointing me to it! ( the interface does look clean enough! )
