Trackers: Suddenly, some do, some don't

Postby dwdockins » Fri Nov 28, 2014 7:28 pm

Running 2.84 on my iMac. Turned it off one night, back on the next morning and WHAM! One 'set' of trackers connects, another set yields ''Scrape error - connection failed'. The log screen indicates no error messages, only informational. The failing set is composed of the exact same group of trackers, as is the working set. My torrents still run off the 2 remaining trackers in the working set, but it's disconcerting. Off / on doesn't help. Port the same, per the same, bandwidth the same, yada yada... I DIDN'T CHANGE ANYTHING!

Could it be the automatic weekly blocklist dl?

Folks with similar problems have advised to perform all sorts of weird port alterations - I just dread that unless ABSOLUTELY necessary. All other info looks good.

Color me working but crippled. Suggestions? THANKS, D.

Suggestions?

Don't panic? Trackers go down on occasion.

That's for peer connections.

You could try setting T's preferences to 'Randomize port'.

Okay. :(
