I know the developers have said they are opposed to the inspector being made into a drawer or otherwise part of the main window. What about making an option to lock the inspector to the main window? I like to keep the inspector window open at all times and this when, when I need to move the main window I'm forced to also move the inspector open and line it up how I like it.
You could make it so that when the inspector comes within a certain short distance of the main window, it snaps into place and it's movement is now locked to movement of the main window.
Outside of making the option for the inspector to be a drawer, this is the one change that would make me the most happy as the current inspector behavior is very annoying in my opinion.
