Auto update for beta versions

Hi! I hope nobody asks this before. Is it possible to have a warning when using an old beta?
In Adium I can select an option to be notified when a new beta version is released. Is it possible (or planned) to have the same feature on Transmission?

Further to this question, I seem to have a similar problem.

I am on 8050. When I click into the webpage that lists the current version of the nightly, it tells me that 8065 is available.

In the general section of the preferences, I have checked the "include beta" option.

But when I ask Transmission to check for updates, I get told that my version of Transmission is up-to-date.

Is it the case that these nightly updates are not beta-s in the sense that there was a beta version of 1.5 before it became real 1.5?

Maybe an option to check nightly releases?

The beta updates are only for official betas, not nightly builds.
