Dear Transmission development team,
I'd like to be able to close the information pane using <command + W> - this would match the rest of the OS's behavior.
The current toggle <command + I> is nice, too, but the rest of OSX behaves differently.
Kind regards,
FT.

Re: Closing the information Pane - shortcut
If the window has focus (click the titlebar), this is the behavior that occurs. When the window doesn't have focus, obviously cmd-w won't affect it.

Re: Closing the information Pane - shortcut
thanks for replying so quickly - I'll subscribe to this thread now, my apologies!
In that case, I suggest opening the information window with said focus.
As it stands now, I keep accidentally closing the main window after I'm done with an information window, Apple-W is just an OSX-wide given.
The currently implied (because of the unfocussed launch) toggle behavior just does not fit the OSX window behavior very well.
Thanks for fixing this if you feel the same about it!

One more thing to add...
When I open Info window, main T window keeps focus. Then I'm unable to see tooltip text on peers.
To see it I must focus on Info window. Can we see tooltip info without focusing in Info inspector?

That too, would be fixed by opening the info panel focussed, no?
Come to think of it. That's pretty standard behavior. Focussing just-opened-windows

That is standard for standard windows not inspectors.Fruityth1ng wrote:That too, would be fixed by opening the info panel focussed, no?

There's a ticket for that - http://trac.transmissionbt.com/ticket/892.

Sometimes the tooltips do occur when the window isn't active. It sometimes not occurring is an Apple bug.
